the_magicians | [Signal Boost] BISEXUALITY: THE MUSICAL

I hope that this is okay to signal boost here, since it is Magicians-specific, and also very Magicians-meta:

I got very angry today, twice (both those posts have oblique spoilers for 4x5, but nothing very concrete), about fandom's occasionally deeply frustrating, to me, handling of Quentin's bisexuality. [Um—also, they are also much more angry than anything I would post directly to a comm, so—warning if you click on those links that you are leaving a community space and going into a personal space where I feel less obligation to moderate my tone than I do in this post linking over there.] Anyway, in hopes of channeling my rage somewhat more fruitfully, I then made a mini-challenge on AO3 for people who identify as bi in one way or another to write about characters in The Magicians being bi, to kind of—have more voices writin' some bi characters bein' bi. \o/

While Quentin was the character who kicked this off for me, since this is both canonically and meta-canonically An Issue™ with him, I think you can make a pretty strong argument for any character on The Magicians being bi, so the collection is open to stories about anyone. It is moderated, but just to prevent spam and abuse, so—if you have or are working on a story or piece of art about bi-whoever, where their bisexuality is important to the work in one way or another, go ahead and add it! I just want more bi voices. :)
